Shipping & Returns

Shipping

Australia Post Express will take 1-3 business days, usually 1 day if the delivery address is within the next day guarantee area

Australia Post Parcel Post takes 3-5 business days to most other areas of Australia.

Courier - we use various courier brands and choose the least costly with the speediest service and typically take 3-5 business days. (remote areas like NW Australia, NT and Northern QLD can take a couple of days longer)

Shipping Terms

By accessing, browsing or purchasing from kitepower.com.au you signify your acceptance of the following (and reasonable) shipping & returns policy:

  • In most cases, goods are delivered to residents in Australia by Australia Post. Items valued at over $100 are sent by Registered Post or Courier - which will require a signature on delivery (so someone needs to be at the shipping address to sign during normal business hours).
  • We offer free shipping on orders valued over $200 (a signature is required). Items longer than 1m or heavier than 10kg may need to be sent via a Courier, and cannot be sent to a PO Box. We will contact you if this is the case, and you will need to provide a daytime address where someone can sign for the goods upon delivery.
  • If you return an item that was shipped for free and because you changed you mind, we will deduct a reasonable shipping fee from the refund for the item you returned.
  • Shipping times are estimates and NOT guaranteed unless a premium overnight service is purchased, this will need to be arranged over the phone or via e-mail if you need something by a specific date. Auspost shipping times can be viewed here -https://auspost.com.au/business/shipping/delivery-speeds-and-coverage

*Free Shipping excludes certain large items, like surfboards wing/sup foil boards and large bulky items like travel bags.

Shipping to Remote locations:

If you purchase a bulky item* and are located in a remote location we will most likely contact you via phone or email to settle on a shipping fee.

In general, if the shipping fee comes out to be more than 10% (full price) or 5% (sale price) of the value of the order we will ask you to pay the difference.

Eg.

  • For full priced orders, if an order has a value of $500 and the most affordable shipping option available is $60 we will request $10 for shipping.
  • For sale priced orders, if an order has a value of $500 and the most affordable shipping option available is $60 we will request $35 for shipping.

*defined as having a packing length longer than 105cm and/or heavier than 2kgs.

Refunds

We will charge a fee (which is simply the non refundable fee charged to Kitepower by the credit card processor) if you use the the payment link on our invoices. The fee is 2.5% of the sale amount and will be deducted from your refund. This condition ONLY applies to payments made through the link on our invoices.

If you purchase directly from our website and pay via the website there will be no refund fee, and the same applies to PayPal payments as neither of these payment gateways charge non refundable fees on payments.

Description

Each member of the ARTPRO Range (More sizes and details to follow soon) is a wing in its own right, not simply scaled versions of its closest sibling, all the wings share the following:

  • An extended elliptical outline, with the tips removed.
  • A straight median line for better turning and control.
  • Narrower chords for lower drag overall.
  • Less overall turn down especially in the tips.
  • Less complicated shapes in general.

After the great reception the ART1099 received, we were inundated by the bigger guys (95+kg) wanting a wing of their own. We swung into action with the intent of rolling out an ART1199 with them in mind… that’s where the ARTPRO odyssey began.

Not content to just scale up an already tried and true formula we went to work, 2 years in development, countless iterations, all building on the success of the one before, the result we believe is something really special, so special in fact that collectively we decided it would herald in an entirely new range for AXIS, the ARTPRO’s.

Leading the charge is the ARTPRO 1201, designed for fast downwinding and bigger guys, but don’t get the wrong impression, this is the wing Dylan Bez prone paddled up for a World Record Marathon 3hr and 6min continuous Surf pump session (left his wetsuit at home so went out in work shorts, he had to stop because it got dark? Averaging 18km/h and covering a whopping 58km in distance all without getting wet again)
The design requirements of the ARTPRO 1201, were great bottom end, endless glide, fast and nippy feel, unparalleled large span turning and control and finally great breach control, crucial for a wing of this span.

The tools we used to achieve what might seem an impossible ask, were less overall turn down, less complicated shape in general (removing stray vectors introduced by unnecessary additional curvatures/wavey bits in the wings shape), with straighter, more forward medial line for better turning and control and very high aspect ratio. (particularly as the ARTPRO’s reduce in size). Finally we introduced all new faster and thinner foil sections. (with the exception of the ARTPRO 1201, where the focus is more centred around early lift)

Dylan Bez, World record Surf Pump 3hr 06min... just something to do after work!

The ART PRO 1401, really challenges the phrases, Bumps too small to go out... or, There's not enough wind to get going...
Designed as a small-bump down-wind machine, the ART PRO 1401 excels in low-energy swells and light wind conditions. Opening up wing foiling in very light conditions, the ART PRO 1401 is really fast, barely slower than the ART PRO 1201 and turns incredibly well for such a large wing.
Dock-starters will love the ART PRO 1401, It is very fun to pump, and fast with exceptional glide... it makes doing tricks like tip-out turns or 360's effortless.
The ART PRO 1201 has proved to be our most popular wing ever, we are picking the ART PRO 1401 will follow a similar trajectory.

We asked our team riders to describe the ART PRO 1401 ride experience. Here's a small selection of comments, that we feel most aptly describe their feedback:

- Running to dock-start is a thing of the past, just step off...
- Riders who are struggling to break the 1 min mark will be chasing the 3-5min mark
- This is a game-changer for bigger guys across multiple disciplines...
- If you pump the 1401 harder it will go faster, say goodbye to the old one-speed wings...

What can you expect from the ARTPRO range?
Each member of the family is a wing in its own right, not simply scaled versions of its closest sibling, however, expect chord values to drop drastically as spans reduce. These are fast high performance wings and as such are perhaps not as accessible to intermediate riders as the ART’s that proceeded them. While they deliver amazing performance characteristics, they are infinitely manageable for mere mortals.

As a consequence of the performance gains discovered during the development of ARTPRO range, we realised that taking full advantage of this performance required a rethink of rear stabilisers. Enter the AXIS Skinny rear wing range, reduced chord rear wings, reducing pressure build-up and providing a better balance for the low chord front wings, resulting in additional performance gains, more fluid gliding and thrilling turns.
