Shipping 

Australia Post Express will take 1-3 business days, usually 1 day if the delivery address is within the next day guarantee area

Australia Post Parcel Post takes 3-5 business days to most other areas of Australia.

Courier - we use various courier brands and choose the least costly with the speediest service and typically take 3-5 business days. (remote areas like NW Australia, NT and Northern QLD can take a couple of days longer)

Shipping Terms 

By accessing, browsing or purchasing from kitepower.com.au you signify your acceptance of the following (and reasonable) shipping & returns policy:

  • In most cases, goods are delivered to residents in Australia by Australia Post. Items valued at over $100 are sent by Registered Post or Courier - which will require a signature on delivery (so someone needs to be at the shipping address to sign during normal business hours).
  • We offer free shipping on orders valued over $200 (a signature is required). Items longer than 1m or heavier than 10kg may need to be sent via a Courier, and cannot be sent to a PO Box. We will contact you if this is the case, and you will need to provide a daytime address where someone can sign for the goods upon delivery.
  • If you return an item that was shipped for free and because you changed you mind, we will deduct a reasonable shipping fee from the refund for the item you returned.
  • Shipping times are estimates and NOT guaranteed unless a premium overnight service is purchased, this will need to be arranged over the phone or via e-mail if you need something by a specific date. *Free Shipping excludes certain large items, like surfboards wing/sup foil boards and large bulky items like travel bags. 

Shipping to Remote locations:

If you purchase a bulky item* and are located in a remote location we will most likely contact you via phone or email to settle on a shipping fee.

In general, if the shipping fee comes out to be more than 10% (full price) or 5% (sale price) of the value of the order we will ask you to pay the difference.

Eg.

  • For full priced orders, if an order has a value of $500 and the most affordable shipping option available is $60 we will request $10 for shipping.
  • For sale priced orders, if an order has a value of $500 and the most affordable shipping option available is $60 we will request $35 for shipping.

*defined as having a packing length longer than 105cm and/or heavier than 2kgs.

Refunds

We will charge a fee (which is simply the non refundable fee charged to Kitepower by the credit card processor) if you use the the payment link on our invoices. The fee is 2.5% of the sale amount and will be deducted from your refund. This condition ONLY applies to payments made through the link on our invoices. 

If you purchase directly from our website and pay via the website there will be no refund fee, and the same applies to PayPal payments as neither of these payment gateways charge non refundable fees on payments.

The background: Five years ago, we launched the FUSION project, with the goal to combine our manufacturing expertise with our knowledge of foil kite, inflatable kite, paraglider and wingsuit design.

Our efforts for this project centred around optimal aerofoil design, leading us to the efficient but difficult to achieve, double surface design.

Through innovative construction techniques and the "ram air" principles integral to wingsuits, we've achieved a design that presents the wing and kite sector with a revolutionary perspective.

Fusion has been achieved! The new FUSION freeride wing marks a paradigm shift in performance.

Tailored to riders seeking higher speeds, dynamic jump and flight potential along with previously impossible angles up and downwind.

WHAT IS THE BIG ADVANTAGE OF THE DOUBLE SURFACE DESIGN?

A dramatic reduction in drag?

When the air travels over a wing it splits at the stagnation point on the leading edge. While the air that runs along the top surface has a clean and continuous surface to follow, the airflow on the bottom of a single surface wing creates vortices behind the leading edge. This turbulent underside flow creates drag which reduces performance.

A hot knife through butter?

The Fusion's design has unlocked enormous performance potential. Producing more lift, while reducing drag, means performance gains have moved in bigger steps and these improvements are revealed in far more areas than just locked-in, straight line speed.

All performance areas are improved by the fact that the ride is incredibly smooth and predictable. The double surface absorbs gusty winds with unrecognisable ease and the wing generates so much more power with less need to sheet in hard. The double surface is less susceptible to luffing, so you can hold more wind and power than a single surface design while riding closer to the wind, which means you can go faster with incredible control.

On the water, you can feel truly free on the Fusion. Explore greater distances in less time while taking corners faster and tighter than you?ve ever experienced.

Who is it for?

The Fusion Wing is for riders that are proficient at tacking and gybing, sending and landing airs confidently and who generally don?t crash very often. It is for those who are ready to experience a new realm of winging where previously unreachable performance is now achievable.



Does it need a different riding technique?

As the wing carries more inertia due to the volume of air inside the wing, it does handle a bit differently to a single surface wing, but once you?re dialled in, the added benefits of increased range, power and previously impossible riding angles are undeniable.

Only subtle changes to your technique are needed to get in tune and start feeling performance gains.

The simplest rule to keep in mind is: just let the wing fly!

Initially, you need to become less reliant on cranking the rear handle for power. The more you crank the rear handle, the less you?re letting it fly, so we advise ensuring you?re well powered up for your first sessions. You?ll soon find you have more power without needing to sheet in as hard.

Is it heavy?

No. In fact the Fusion 5m weighs just 100 grams more than our Flux 5m wing!

The Fusion has a unique internal structure and uses more material than our single surface wings, but all our wings are always born as light as possible, thanks to high quality material placements and the expert sewing techniques developed in our factory.

Does it take on water?

The air intakes have been optimally designed to allow air in while preventing water entry. In the event that water enters the wing, there are four drainage holes located at the trailing edge; two near the strut and two at the wingtips.
