Australia Post Express will take 1-3 business days, usually 1 day if the delivery address is within the next day guarantee area
Australia Post Parcel Post takes 3-5 business days to most other areas of Australia.
Courier - we use various courier brands and choose the least costly with the speediest service and typically take 3-5 business days. (remote areas like NW Australia, NT and Northern QLD can take a couple of days longer)
Shipping Terms
By accessing, browsing or purchasing from kitepower.com.au you signify your acceptance of the following (and reasonable) shipping & returns policy:
- In most cases, goods are delivered to residents in Australia by Australia Post. Items valued at over $100 are sent by Registered Post or Courier - which will require a signature on delivery (so someone needs to be at the shipping address to sign during normal business hours).
- We offer free shipping on orders valued over $200 (a signature is required). Items longer than 1m or heavier than 10kg may need to be sent via a Courier, and cannot be sent to a PO Box. We will contact you if this is the case, and you will need to provide a daytime address where someone can sign for the goods upon delivery.
- If you return an item that was shipped for free and because you changed you mind, we will deduct a reasonable shipping fee from the refund for the item you returned.
- Shipping times are estimates and NOT guaranteed unless a premium overnight service is purchased, this will need to be arranged over the phone or via e-mail if you need something by a specific date. *Free Shipping excludes certain large items, like surfboards wing/sup foil boards and large bulky items like travel bags.
Shipping to Remote locations:
If you purchase a bulky item* and are located in a remote location we will most likely contact you via phone or email to settle on a shipping fee.
In general, if the shipping fee comes out to be more than 10% (full price) or 5% (sale price) of the value of the order we will ask you to pay the difference.
Eg.
- For full priced orders, if an order has a value of $500 and the most affordable shipping option available is $60 we will request $10 for shipping.
- For sale priced orders, if an order has a value of $500 and the most affordable shipping option available is $60 we will request $35 for shipping.
*defined as having a packing length longer than 105cm and/or heavier than 2kgs.
Refunds
We will charge a fee (which is simply the non refundable fee charged to Kitepower by the credit card processor) if you use the the payment link on our invoices. The fee is 2.5% of the sale amount and will be deducted from your refund. This condition ONLY applies to payments made through the link on our invoices.
If you purchase directly from our website and pay via the website there will be no refund fee, and the same applies to PayPal payments as neither of these payment gateways charge non refundable fees on payments.

The Sonar 1500R (Reflex)
This is a true crossover wing with real performance across every foiling discipline. So stable, you’ll feel like you’re like standing on the ground. The 1500R is great for prone foil surfing in medium to large waves, has a smooth carvy feel and sits nicely in the pocket. Its predictable lift gives you time to find a comfortable stance without fighting to keep the nose down as the foil accelerates. This means you’re able to remain in the same stance/position over the entire speed range. The balance of the foil system means you can place your back foot further behind the mast, letting you ride the board more like a shortboard. Our new, specialised reflexed-camber foil section design gives the wing pitch stability and prevents your board’s tendency to nose up strongly when you first get going. Thus, it eliminates the need for you to change your position to trim the board as you speed up, or as you drop-in on a wave. The Sonar reflexed wings have a relatively large surface area, which makes them highly controllable, with incredible roll and pitch stability. Usually, a large wing means more drag, hence less speed. But because you can position the reflexed wings on the fuselage with a lower angle of attack, they feel smaller than they are in terms of their speed range and responsiveness.
A reflexed wing gives you impressive control throughout the entire speed range, with extreme top-end speeds unheard of for a wing that size.

The new reflexed 1850R (Reflex)
This front wing gives you impressive control throughout the entire speed range, with extreme top-end speeds for such a large wing and an unbelievably low stall speed. Also a true crossover wing, the 1850R has more lift than the 1500R. In smaller to medium waves, prone foil surfers can perfect shorter radius surf-style turns with ease. Great for wing-foiling in all conditions and perfect for learning to foil, the 1850R is also still kite-able. Featuring our new, specialised reflexed-camber foil section design to give the wing pitch stability and prevent your board’s tendency to nose up strongly when you first get going. This eliminates the need for you to change your position to trim the board as you speed up, or as you drop-in on a wave. The 1850R has a relatively large surface area, which makes it highly controllable, with incredible roll and pitch stability. Usually, a large wing means more drag, hence less speed. Unbelievable stability and slow stall speed through the turn makes learning gybes and tacks easier, giving newer riders confidence to try more manoeuvres and progress quickly. Smooth carvy turns in prone for heavier riders and in SUP foiling. Touchdowns are a breeze. Featuring our new, specialised reflexed-camber foil section design to give the wing pitch stability.
